What is a oversize boat in the state of Louisiana?

Legal boats are considered to be 8' 6" in overall width overall hieght will be around 12'

Requirements for over size boats

Any boat over 8' 6" wide will have to have permits issude by the state.

Any boat that is over 12' wide will have to have at least 1 escort.
